I'll Take a Potato chip...AND EAT IT!

Hahahaha..... This week was crazzzy. I had this brilliant 200 iq idea that came to me in a dream. Imagine you are a young person if you aren't. Sorry to just objectify most of you as being old but go back to your college days. (: you're walking down the street or maybe someone just knocks on your door. Oh also you are not a member. You open your door or turn your head to see two people in white shirts when one of them says, "Hey want an egg?" Boooom what do you say. Pshh of course you want an egg. You're a broke spontaneous college student so you say yes out of confusion. They hand you an egg and then throw some religious question at you out of nowhere. You are hit with confusion again and since you answered yes last time you were in this situation you say yes again. So they start spitting bars (translation/preaching the word) on you and you begin to be overcome with the spirit. Next thing you know you are fully submerged making covenants. Genius right.

This week we found a good amount of people to teach and were able to teach a bunch of lessons. There is so much I wish I could tell you all but it would take ages to write haha so I'll focus on the important things. Yesterday was probably the most stressful but best Sunday I have ever had. John, who will be getting baptized this Saturday needed to come in order to be baptized but said he was really tired. We showed up at 9 banging on his door and HE WOKE UP so I was so excited. He let us in and I'm just kind of like sweet didn't think we would get this far haha. We set up a ride right there and stayed and talked with him as the anime called, "piano forest" was playing in the background until they got there. We barely made it to church on time and Scott, who is getting baptized Saturday as long as interviews this week go well, was in there already with his niece as well as 5 other people we are teaching. I was like a slippery snake with 5 feet. After the sacrament meeting I was trying to help everyone with introductions and where they need to go and meeting the bishop and what not but it was a 1 on 7 because my companion got dragged into a 15 min conversation with an older guy in the ward haha. One of them got bitten by a spider too so he wanted to stay for the second hour but needed to run home and get some anti ich stuff. Luckily the 4 college students stepped up and helped a lot with giving rides and showing people where to go. Please keep John and Scott in your prayers. We also got to teach Landon and Nullen, who are Elizabeth's (sister Denton's) kids after church and are going to start talking about baptism with them as well. They have already told us they want to be, but need the testimony first. Also, their father is looking like he will give permission for them to be baptized so keep that in your prayers as well! Still trying to get some people married so they can be baptized too but that is a work in progress. Today we did District P day. Knowing the crowd I figured the best thing would be to just play games with them. I bought the game Chameleon and some others brought a couple. Just finished up and that was a great break for everyone to share some laughs. Also your boy just bought his first Cologne😂😂. Now that summer is getting closer and closer I figured that was a good decision!

Anyways thanks for reading everyone. I am doing fantastic out here and growing everyday. Even if for some reason I had to go home right now I would be more than happy and grateful for the things I have been able to be a part of and experience, despite especially this week the getting yelled and cussed at, rejected and laughed at. Also, I am in Helaman now and the Nephites for the 50th time I swear have lifted up their hearts in pride and forgotten their God so they are getting slapped by the Lamanites but it looks like some legit stuff is about to go down with dark clouds and fire cause everyone is wicked with a voice that tells them to repent. The Book of Mormon is great and if you have not seriously ever sat down and read the whole thing do so. You've got one of God's greatest powers sitting there in a book and you cannot tell me you can't make it a priority to take a small amount of your time in a day to read what the creator of all things who organized us from the beginning has given us. SO READ! lol

Hello I am Paul From Jagex Limited...We Have Found Something Wrong With Your Account and Need Your Password to Fix It.

You're in a lifeboat stranded at sea when you look up and see a cloud 10 feet above you in the air. On said cloud there I am talking to all of you. Now that the setting is set, How is everyone doing? Here in good old South Dakota things have been great. Today I was able to go up to Newell where everyone is still living in the 50's and help someone bring their 120 pound dog to death by injection. Poor dog was ready to go but the owner seemed to have a hard time with the loss. She'll be alright though. Tonight we are having dinner with Elizabeth (I guess it is Sister Denton now) and teaching her kids again so pray for their dad to let them get baptized if that ends up being what they desire! This past Tuesday we did Exchanges with the ZL's which was a good time! I stayed here in Belle Fourche and we taught someone named Bradly. I have mentioned him before as that one guy with 5,000 crystals and rocks under black lights who calls it their shrine, which is awesome, just not something I was raised around. Anyways we sit down with some Lofi beats going on in the background as he hits his vape and talks to us. Don't get me wrong, he is a very respectful person to us. Anyways he was telling us some hard times he has been going through and proceeded to tell us things that helped him through them. He whips out four rocks and holds one of them up and says something along the lines of "So with this rock you can see about 5 dragon heads and at this angle a couple birds, and my energy connects so much with dragons and things like this." He pretty much does this with each rock. Man I was trying not to laugh so hard.... they were literally just random rocks you can find anywhere on the ground that have no appearance of a dragon. Haha. He talked about how he wants to put a presentation on with us and present it at church because he feels it can really help people. Love the guy. We also taught Cory who has a blood clot in his head and could die at any moment. Throughout the remainder of the week we had a lot of other great lessons as well. But since this past week has been so much warmer outside for a new finding strategy we took a white board and wrote "Buying gf 90gp '' on it and went into the public. Sadly, It didn't work so we tried offering up rare chocolate to people in exchange for 5 minutes of their time when in reality the rare chocolate was just a burnt swordfish. For some reason we didn't find too much success with that either. We did however find an elect trailer park. It was on Saint Patrick's day and a bunch of people were leaving and loading the cars to go to DeadWood for a party. At first I was like aww man everyone is leaving but we managed to talk to all of them before they could escape haha. Most of them were so interested and we will be going back on Thursday to meet with 4 separate people there. This Sunday was a little disappointing though. We had so many people say they would be there at church with yes's and only 2 people actually showed up. Last week there were 6 so kind of sad but that's alright!  Anyways no video this week but getting one ready for next!

Please read 3 Nephi 13: 25-26! 25 And now it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words he looked upon the twelve whom he had chosen, and said unto them: Remember the words which I have spoken. For behold, ye are they whom I have chosen to minister unto this people. Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air, for they sow not, neither do they reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Ponder that for me (:

The highest point of SD ladies and gentlemen. I think 7,600 or something area there. 7 miles.
It is like 46 out so not too bad, really icy though.

Things are going good with my new companion. It was hard the first 2 weeks but getting easier now that he is learning the area a bit more. We hang out with the ZLs a lot and they are great.

A Tiny Owl Changed It's Branch

WOW my brain is literally liquified ramen right now... as if the noodles got so soggy they aren't even noodles at this point. Boys, men, females, those with hamstrings of diamonds, thanks for clicking on my email ( : I appreciate it. I really do! The past 7 days I was able to see some great things go down thanks to God letting me be a small part in his work. I'll start with this guy named Dallen who we knocked his door and he let us in. Man is ready for the gospel let me tell you. He gives sheep haircuts or something like that for a living which is pretty sweet but we will be coming back this Wednesday to check up on his commitments he made with us. That should be good. The other night we where walking around and started talking to my boy Howard right after a cop was busting his chops as I swear I saw 5 drug deals go down right behind the cop car in the parking lot, ha. He was smoking a gar on the porch. We talked to him for a while and he said he will come to church and we have 1 chance to convince him. Ha bro you already lost if you committing to coming to church. Man did not show up, but it is what it is. We did get to see a lot of people at church that we are teaching so that was pretty gnarly. Also I got to confirm Elizabeth a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints in sacrament meeting yesterday which was an awesome experience for me. We were able to teach both her kids after as well. Also the man himself John is totally down to being baptized. He got work requested off and is doing good from smoking and drinking so throw some prayers up my him. This week we gotta make some sick stuff with someone we are teaching who welds. Him and his wife are some of the most hospitable people I have ever met. You will see that in the video. Awww snap yes sirrrr I got a vlog for yall this week. It feels like its been a while so I hope you get some enjoyment out of it. Also today was pretty sweet. We went on a hike in Rapid with some hype beast missionaries that was honesty something I needed haha. Here in Belle Fourche sometimes it gets lonely feeling so separated and not in a triple. So that was a good time. But all of you reading should know by now I keep my email list to only the elect so if your reading it's important to me that your happy. On my mission I feel like there is always a pilot light going inside of me that wasn't there before. I feel pretty lucky to have found that pretty early in my mission, being that the pilot light is just being happy. No matter what sucky things happen I always feel joy for some reason underneath it all. That reason probably being our Savior, Jesus Christ. I really want you all to feel the pilot light in you too. I know it's there but look to your Savior to find it! Anyways sorry for the late email. Enjoy the video and lift your heads up. Cause somebody loves you.

I am district leader so that is fun. I already got a whole bunch of ideas for district councils ha. I'm about to be the hypest DL they ever seen. Also, Tate Baird's cousin is in my district and ward so that's kinda cool. I'm also trainer.

Yesterday was amazing

The two boys are Elizabeth's kids who we will hopefully be baptized as well. She has 6 kids. The other are all older.

Virus Ahhh Scary. Don't Clock Rawr Oh No

Ello boys! I feel Mexican today because the cold will not go away. You would think it would start to warm up... nah, still got another 2 months. That's like 3 and a half months of warmth before it's cold again. I honestly have no clue why people live here. Hahaha the only reason I say this is because we are out, zip, zadda, nadda, zero, indoor places to tract or find that we haven't exhausted already except talking to people in Walmart, But don't worry that won't stop us. This week was a challenging one. Tuesday night we stayed with the ZL's and then drove to the airport at 4 AM then went back in town and waited for all the missionaries transferring out of Rapid at the stake center. That was fun seeing all the Elders there! I would say I know half of the mission now which makes social events pretty fun! Anyways I went and worked in someone named Elder Fraidenburge's area for the day with him. It was a good time! We were at Walmart when we saw the pharmacy. I looked over to Elder Fraidenburge and said yo booster? I want like 40 just to make sure I'm safe so we both got the Mederma one because why not. haha he needed one for Ecuador because he is leaving soon and I will probably need one if God wants me in Japan. Then that night I picked up my new companion named Elder Bouhwis and we drove back to good old Belle Fourche at 9:25 pm. I got told I was going to be the district leader at 9:30 pm by my ZLs calling me to see if everyone was home lol. So I'm excited for that! I already got some fire District councils planned out. Anyways the next day I had 5 lessons planned out but during studies I started to feel off and then I remembered I got that booster the day before. Man that day was probably one of the hardest on my mission haha. I had non stop chills and felt like I was gonna pass out while dragging my comp who had no clue what was happening around to everything, haha. That night I walked into the apartment and instantly passed out. Luckily it only lasted 1 day. Thinking back on it I probably could have just taken some ibuprofen and been fine but it is what it is ha. This week though we got some good lessons in. One of the people planning to get baptized soon is on day 6 of no smoking and drinking so we are really excited about that! Also Elizabeth was baptized yesterday!!! That was awesome. I was able to be there the whole process for her and am now working with her kids! I was able to talk about baptism for the service and share some fun stories about her. I am also excited for a young couple going to BH we found! We knocked on their door and it was a girl that opened up with no pants on. So we went inside. She went in the back and her boyfriend came out and we taught him the resto but we were able to go back and teach them both. They are super nice and seem super interested. Anyways I am in the war chapters in Alma now and they are amazing. Very entertaining to read and I learn fighting tactics like aiming for the scalp with a sword. intimidation lvl. 99. Keep the faith everyone because your Father in Heaven is always there whether you are to deaf to hear him or not.

Dearest regards - Elder Parker
