I am getting mildly tickled at the moment by my ZLs so I have no idea how this email is going to turn out but ay, thanks for your attention! 😂 This week we were super busy and it was filled with success and good times to finish out the transfer! On Wednesday we were able to go down to Rapid and sand beds with electrical sanders with the whole zone. It was all fun and games until your boy went wax on.... wax off on them when all of the sudden a piece of metal flew out and hit me straight in the eye. Luckily I was wearing safety glasses and they deflected it like nothing. I mean it was nothing really, no problem. Anyways the next day we did exchanges with the ZLs which was a successful and fun time as always. We also had baptismal interviews that day which went great! Then on Saturday Dre'Elle Giroux got baptized! This is Scott's niece. Scott received the priesthood a couple of nights beforehand and was super nervous but performed the ordinance correctly the first time! Better than when I baptized John haha. This was a super cool thing to see happen and a really special baptismal service. Then right after that at around 1, we went to Mike's place for some service. The plan was to walk his property and fix all his barbwire fencing. Well, we set out on this adventure through the black hills with the caveman Mike himself with some tools and barbwire. Man, it was beautiful and sunny out as we start on the first side. We fix some broken fences and continue. About a half-hour in we are in the middle of nowhere and of course, we are in SD so it starts snowing, We were going straight up and straight down hills just covered in trees and brush following this fence in the rain and snow for 4 hours hahaha. There was a couple of times I thought we might die but it was the sickest thing as well. There will be some clips in the next video. After we let the horses go free and they lost their absolute minds and almost kicked us all before running off into the woods. It was a very polar opposite day!
Alright so now for the juice! Monday night we got transfer calls and it looks like my time here in Belle Fourche is up! I had a good run here but now I am off to the northern city of Fargo, ND. This will be a big change! I'll be back in a trio which I am excited about because trio energy is unmatched in the mission. I will be in the Fargo 3rd ward. Crazy right? 3 whole wards wow that blows my mind. Fargo is the biggest city on the mission so I am ready to tear the streets up there like no other! Anyways there are I think 7 sets in Fargo so that will be very different having lots of other missionaries around. So I got that Monday night hurried and packed and early next morning which is this morning we came to RC and went on a hike to the highest point of SD... I mean it's whatever pshh no biggie. And now I will be staying the night here and leaving early tomorrow morning for a long travel day!
Also, I have been reading Jesus the Christ. Wow, it is amazing! But sometimes I get frustrated on how much more I have to read and learn just within the standard works alongside so much given to us by prophets and apostles with the time left on my mission but then I think about how far I have come as well. This makes it sound like my parents never taught me anything but that is not true I just probably never listened. I remember sitting in the MTC reading through PMG and lesson two (Plan of Salvation) for the first time just mind blown haha I didn't know anything or when I found out the Bible was split between the old testament and new testimony and what that means or even what in the world D&C is hahaha. I definitely think that is a reason I have been here in the states for so long on my mission because knowing myself I would have been so wrapped up in the language no way would I have found the knowledge and testimony I have today and have the determination to continue to learn.
